Support your child’s growth with Development Disorder Rehabilitation

Developmental Disorders are long-term conditions that often present themselves in early childhood, and often affect their ability to take part in activities of daily living, as well as in their personal, academic, and social lives.

These include conditions such as intellectual disabilities, motor disorders, learning disorders, communication disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Oftentimes, these disorders require life support, so it is vital to identify these signs and symptoms early on to begin therapy.

As a parent, you can look out for signs of Developmental Disorders if your child is unable to meet developmental milestones and struggle with mobility, speech, playing and learning. Some children may also face issues with communication skills and behavior.

But it’s important to remember that each child is unique, so it’s not always a sign of concern. If you are unsure of whether your child requires help, reach out to the professionals at Plexus.

Dr Na’eem Sadiq and his team create tailored treatment plans for developmental disorders, using a combination of developmental therapies, medication, and skills training wherever necessary. Our experts work closely with your family to determine the best course of action that will empower the child to lead a fulfilling and socially active life.

Developmental Therapies

To help the child function better and cope faster, we offer structured therapy plans for children with Developmental Disorders. After carrying out a detailed assessment of the child’s present abilities and deficits, our developmental experts identify problems and set treatment goals. Based on the evaluation of developmental milestones, the child is subjected to Infant stimulation therapy, Neuro-developmental Therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation therapy, Sensory Integration therapy, Social skills training, Behaviour Therapy, or Cognitive Behaviour therapy.

Medication

We prescribe effective medications to treat symptoms such as anxiety, hyperactivity, aggressive behavior, insomnia, lack of attention, as well as low moods, anger, and irritability. We also monitor the child’s progress with regular ongoing assessments and alter the treatment plan if needed.

Skills Training

We at Plexus provide specialized skills training to children, parents, and caregivers to help manage Developmental Disorders, like cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
