Acupuncture is a traditional chinese form of treatment that is performed using fine needles that puncture the skin along certain predetermined meridians.
There are about 2,000 acupuncture spots in the human body that are connected by 20 meridians or pathways. We use acupuncture extensively in many of our treatments.
While using the same fundamental principles as acupuncture, acupressure involves stimulating the meridians with fingers, hands, or equipment (instead of needles). It improves blood circulation, provides pain relief, relaxes the muscles, and detoxes the whole body.
